If its free everyone has it, it would be devalued and a new system would have to replace it, then only those inclined toward education would need to go *ideal Torri world*Okay, so I’m not even anti-socialism but I’m just thinking… wouldn’t entirely free higher education sort of eliminate the incentive for higher education? Then what’s the point? I highly doubt that many people exist who are exclusively interested in learning for learning’s sake.

There is no way that it could ever be free. These institutions have to pay the professors and all other workers on campus, not to mention all of the other expenses. I think it WOULD motivate people with lower incomes, but it’s just not possible.
